I can't connect to the server, I get the message "Problem connecting to the server: java.net.SocketException: Socket type not supported: create" I am using Windows 95. What does this mean ?

There are bugs in the original version of Windows 95. In particular there is a bug with the way that operating system creates sockets using software called WinSock.
The solution is to download and install Windows 95 Service Pack 1. This service pack contains updated code and fixes the bugs that were in the original version of Windows 95.
